BE PART OF IT!
The next exciting project we are about to embark upon will see our Great Hall and surrounding areas showcased and preserved for generations to come and we're asking you to BE PART OF IT!
This ambitious, architecturally designed project will be undertaken in stages, starting with the Great Hall forecourt and the Year 12 quadrangle, followed by a cosmetic facelift for the Great Hall Museum and driveway.
While protected by the Queensland Heritage Act 1992 and listed by the National Trust of Queensland, our iconic Great Hall requires ongoing conservation work. The Great Hall, which now houses our Museum as well as displaying the proud history of our educational honours, last undertook a refurbishment in 2003.
In recognition of the symbolic significance of the Great Hall to the entire IGS community, we are seeking your support and offering unique opportunities for naming recognition to honour your generosity.
All donations of $1,000 and above will also be recognised on a dedicated honour board within the Great Hall foyer.
For more information on the project or how you can BE PART OF IT, please contact our Community Development Manager Carol Levinge on clevinge@ipswichgrammar.com or phone 0419 758 886
The Ipswich Grammar School Building Fund is a registered charity. All donations of $2 and over are tax-deductible.

This sounds like a great project. I had much of my secondary education in the Great Hall during a time when there was a shortage of classrooms in the school. I especially remember some wonderful lessons taught by Mr Williams and Mr Neale: "The king sat in Dunfermline Town drinking the blue red wine,' O where will I get a skeelly skipper to sail this ship o' mine?' "
