IGS Arts Centre Redevelopment

The Ipswich Grammar School Arts Centre refurbishment is an exciting project that is CREATING SPACE FOR IMAGINATION.

Fostering an artistic interest in our boys is a vital element of the IGS approach. Our newly established Arts Centre will accommodate all the school's drama, music and art programs in purpose-built classrooms and performance spaces, creating an environment that will excite, engage and inspire our boys and encourage a richer Arts learning experience.

Participation in the Arts Program motivates our boys to explore their creativity and allows them to express themselves in diverse forms. It opens their minds to greater possibilities and provides the boys with the tools to examine life through the medium of Art.

Ipswich Grammar School values musicians, writers, filmmakers, designers, and many of our Old Boys have gone on to have prosperous careers in the Arts. The Art Centre will be utilised by boys from Prep to Year 12 and will solidify our intention to continue to give our boys a quality Arts education.

In recognition of the symbolic significance of the Arts to the entire IGS community, we have created some unique naming rights opportunities within the Arts Centre to recognise your support.
